- Email address (optional, for cancellation notifications)
- Personal message to the family (optional)
Technical Information:
- Theme preference (light/dark mode) stored in your browser
- Language preference stored in cookies
- Session tokens for authenticated access (temporary, expires in 15 minutes)
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage visitor schedules
- To send email verification codes for secure access
- To notify visitors of schedule changes or cancellations
- To enable schedule sharing with co-administrators
- To facilitate communication between schedule coordinators and visitors
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We use the following service providers to operate Visit Ease:
- Supabase: Database hosting provider (stores all schedule and booking data)
- Resend: Email delivery service (sends verification codes and notifications)
- Vercel: Web hosting provider (serves the application)
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- Schedule and booking data is retained until you delete your schedule or request deletion
- Email verification codes expire after 10 minutes
- Session tokens expire after 15 minutes of inactivity
Data Security
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Our website is served exclusively over HTTPS
- Email-based verification protects schedule access
- We do not store passwords - we use email-based authentication
Your Rights
- Access: You can view all data associated with your schedule
- Deletion: You can delete your schedule and all associated data at any time
- Portability: You can request a copy of your data

Children's Privacy

Visit Ease is a scheduling coordination tool only. We are not a healthcare provider and do not store protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. Patient names and hospital information are used solely for scheduling identification purposes. We recommend not including sensitive medical information in notes or messages.
